Dermaceutic Laboratoire, 1st Peeling brand in France. All you need to know before experiencing a chemical peel.

Dermaceutic Laboratoire, 1st Peeling brand in France. All you need to know before experiencing a chemical peel.

Born in 2002, from a collaboration with French dermatologists, Dermaceutic Laboratoire has since grown its legacy to become the number 1 chemical peel brand in France. For 18 years Dermaceutic has developed very efficient chemical peel formulas using advanced actives that guarantee precision and performance.

Dermaceutic also tailor products to meet the needs of each individual skin.

We have developed two complementary ranges of products: chemical peels from very superficial to medium depth and also a homecare products range to accompany these aesthetic treatments.

In this article we will introduce these both ranges.

September (in the northern hemisphere) is the ideal month to start chemical peels. Changing season and sun consequences on your skin require a proper protocol to ensure a daily healthy skin. It is important to consider that each skin needs a specific treatment.

What is a Chemical Peel?

Chemicals peels are an excellent, non-invasive alternative to achieve long-lasting results. They are solutions for all skin types that are more affordable than other techniques. It is a procedure, where a chemical agent of a defined strength is applied to the skin to cause a controlled destruction of the different layers of the skin. This is followed by a regeneration and a remodelling.

Chemical peels have different types of benefits such as the treatment of mild-acne, keratosis pilaris, superficial pigmented lesions, solar & senile lentigines, elastosis, acne scars and actinic keratosis.

They also have additional benefits like reducing visible skin imperfections, improving skin tone and texture, stimulating natural collagen production and promoting cells regeneration.

Chemical peels are efficient across all types of skin indications: acne-prone skin, pigment spots, signs of skin aging etc. It exists different types of chemical peels acting in different layers of the skin: from very superficial to deep peels.

Dermaceutic peels offer proven safe and efficient chemical peels for all skin types.

As all chemical peels, symptoms like redness, erythema, or burning sensation may occur, however they disappear in few hours later. These are well known and normal reactions of the skin after a chemical peel.

Our innovative very superficial to medium depth formulas act on different layers of skin for optimal results. In addition, we also provide a homecare range to accompany your peeling treatments and optimize the outcome.

This homecare protocols include a skin preparation happening two weeks before the peel and also a post-treatment routine to follow during five to six weeks after the peeling.

What are the key benefits of good skin preparation and post peeling treatments to follow properly at home?

  • To ensure uniform penetration of the peeling agents.
  • To reduce risks of complication.
  • To accelerate the wound healing process.
  • To avoid intolerances and allergies.

We strongly recommend you to follow the skin preparation and post treatment protocols to guarantee optimal long-term results and efficacy of the peels. Here is an overview of our different chemicals peels and their benefits as well as the homecare protocols we recommend to achieve the best results.

Close up on the importance of the exfoliation in your pre and post peeling treatments.

Have you noticed that Foamer 15 is recommended for each pre and post peeling treatments?

Exfoliation is the first and key step of any skincare protocol. Foamer 15, the exfoliating cleansing foam contributes to purify the skin and to help to remove impurities and dead cells. It provides gentle exfoliation and soothing agent essential in preparing the skin and for returning the skin to optimal functioning post-treatment.

Foamer 15 high performance actives allow an efficient exfoliation:

• Glycolic Acid: It easily penetrates the skin to stimulate cell renewal by modifying the cohesion of the corneocytes and thus accelerating the desquamation process
• Enoxolone: An anti-inflammatory agent extracted from liquorice root renowned for its soothing and calming properties

Once a day, apply a small amount to a clean and dry face. Massage and rinse with water after two minutes or as soon as you start to feel a tingling sensation.
